Star Trek: Starbase 777 - upper-promenade

Alizati strolled onto the promenade with his Furberus wrapped around his arms and shoulders. Bir stuck his long head out aboe Alizati's whilst Ikki was tangled in his father's long ass hair, and Yuch, poor sweet summer child Yuch, he was hanging off to the side like a limp noodle. Apparently he was tired after drinking the remaining bio lubricant. The android engineer looked at all the people going about their business on the promenade. There were so many people. He couldn't help but feel a dull pain of paranoia that seemed to press down on the back of his neck. No matter how many times he came here, the sights and sounds were overwhelming. At least he had the Furberus with him, with their knives for beaks that could leave a pretty nasty wound if they pecked too hard. Alizati's steps were careful, slow, he stuck close to the wall, just staring at all the people walking by.

Elwyn had been aboard the starbase since the Eventide had arrived, and had been non-stop exploring ever since. She didn't need sleep, she needed gossip, frenemies and fun! It was while walking down the promenade in her Terran Empire uniform with a phaser on one hip, disruptor on the other, and a nice complimentary section of bladed weapons around the rest of her belt that she spotted something frankly bizarre. Coming towards her, hugging the wall, was a weird looking person with an even weirder looking thing clinging onto them. Was it a pet? A weapon? Elwyn had no idea, but she knew she wanted to find out. She immediately beelined towards Alizati with a smile on her face and a skip on her step, immediately moving to block his path. "Hi, I'm Elwyn! Who are you and what is that?" The young android asked cheerfully with a wave as she pointed at the Furberus. It was very obvious that she was in fact an android as you could see her join seams on her wrists and neck. She was in a nice sleeveless uniform, but her midriff was well covered. It wasn't hot enough for her to warrant that sort of attire, in her opinion. Not that she was effected by it being hot unless it was ridiculously hot, that is.

Alizati stopped dead in his tracks when the Empire officer stepped in front of him. He kept a cool aura about him, not showing his paranoia on his face, but the Furberus was hesitant about the stranger. Yuch immediately pulled himself up and straightened his neck along with Bir. Ikki was still tangled in Alizati's hair, but he was also looking at Elwyn. The weird three headed monstrosity was ready to fight at any moment. "You are an android," Alizati said, blatantly ignoring Elwyn's question and just cutting right to the chase. An android for the Terran Empire? No doubt she was here to 'collect' him as they called it. He wouldn't put it past the Empire to send another android come to find him and these peace talks were a great way for the Empire to get one of their officers on the station to find Alizati. All three heads of the Furberus hissed softly at the woman, clearly not being fooled by her cheerful attitude. Alizati was equally put off by it, what was she plotting?

Elwyn's eyes remained entirely on the Furberus as it straightened up, looked at her, and hissed. What an odd little creature it was. As Alizati said she was an android the young android nodded in agreement with a smile on her face, before quickly putting a finger up to her lips. "Shh! Don't tell anyone, it's a secret!" The woman said in a playful tone with a cheeky grin on her face. As she removed her finger from her lips she looked back and fourth between the three heads of the weird thingy and then also Alizati's head. "I've answered your question so it's only fair you answer mine!"

"Secret?" Alizati said before following up with a thoughtful hum and then absolutely silence. Was he doing this on purpose to annoy the woman or was he actually just thinking? Dark eyes scanned Elwyn, taking note of the way she looked at the Furberus and then back to him. Unlike the android in front of him, Alizati's 'android clues' were a little more subtle, just his lack of blinking and breathing gave it away. And if anyone were to try to fight him well, he was very dense and his skin was cool to the touch. "I am Alizati, an engineer on this station who specialises in artificial intelligence, hence why I asked the question," He stated as he gently unwrapped the Furberus from his shoulders and was now cradling them like a baby. "And this is my pet. Bir," The middle head opened and closed its knife beak. "Ikki," The head to the right repeated the action. "And Yuch," The last head just opened and closed his eyes, no beak movement. "Collectively they are 'The Furberus'. I created them," He explained before the three heads wrapped themselves around Alizati's shoulders once again, slithering in one smooth motion. "It is clear you are an android, why hide it? Unless you are up to no good?" Alizati raised an eyebrow, Vulcan look of judgement strong as ever. (edited)

Elwyn watched the Furberus as Alizati introduced her to it with almost child-like curiosity. "That's so cool!" She exclaimed as he said he had created them. A sentient little weird creature created by a sentient not-so-little or weird person! "I like hiding it so people get to find out for themselves! It gives me the element of surprise!" The woman said with a grin as she observed the Engineer's behaviour. In fact, she had been observing it since she started talking to him. It was her job, after all. No blinking, no obvious breathing? Could it be that he's also an android? Awesome! The young android then decided to slowly move around to behind Alizati, keeping her eyes locked with his until she physically couldn't, before moving to whisper into his ear once she had essentially walked all the way around him. "I know you are, too!" She whispered quietly, before springing back in front of him with an almost joyous grin on her face.

The curiosity on the android's face was suspicious. It was often the friendly types that were the most dangerous. An android assassin, now that would be smart. However Alizati was immune to poisons and stabbing (unless correctly aimed). The Furberus squeaked when Elwyn called them 'cool', enjoying the compliment and for some reason not as paranoid as their father. "I am not a fan of surprises," Alizati said in the most monotone and unenthusiastic voice. Alizati's eyes followed Elwyn as she walked around him, expecting her to pounce at any moment. He had his legs shoulder width apart and his hands clutched to the Furberus. But Elwyn never struck, instead she leaped back in front of him with her jubilant smile. "That is correct. What a... Coincidence, two androids should meet," He returned to his neutral man-standing-emoji position. Still very much convinced Elwyn was going to take him out, which is why he said, "Are you heading somewhere, Elwyn? Or just taking a stroll?"

"I know right!" The young android replied in response to the coincidence. She actually found it really cool! "Oh, I'm just talking a stroll! Thought I'd check this place out while I get the opportunity! You never know what you might find if you explore a new place!" Elwyn replied cheerfully in response to the other android's question as she clasped her hands together in front of her. "You know of any neat places I could visit? I'm sure this place has loads! I've never been on a Commonwealth starbase before! Well, I mean, it used to be ours, but still! This place is so cool!"

The cheerful response was definitely not what Alizati had expected. He was fully prepared to play 3d chess, but the Elwyn only seemed interested in tossing the pieces on the air. Well, no matter, he was not going to let his guard down. Cheerful or not, Alizati did not think two androids meeting was a mere coincidence and he clutched the Furberus tightly in his arms. "I am aware this station used to be yours," Alizati said, speaking carefully and calmly, a star contrast to the other android's tone. "Well we have a retail outlet and some restaurants. I do not suppose you eat? Alternatively we have some leisure places, a holodeck and a club, hmmm I am not a fan of either," Alizati, to no surprise, was just as anti fun as his prime verse counterpart. "I would be curious about how you came to be, I rarely meet other androids. Would you like to take a walk through the shops?"

As Alizati spoke about the different places she could check out Elwyn listened intently with a sparkle in her eyes. The other android not being a fan of the holodeck frankly shocked her, but she didn’t show any form of reaction, and at the offer of going and taking a walk through the shops the young android enthusiastically nodded her head in response. “Ooooh! That sounds fun! And I do eat, I just don’t need to!” She replied with a grin as she practically bounced on the spot. “Lead the way, Commander Furberus Inventor!”

Alizati was still suspicious as ever of Elwyn's demeanour, but he didn't let that show on his face. "Then we shall take a stroll through the retail outlet. You will see the Commonwealth has made a few changes to this station to make it more inviting for others," Alizati said as he began to walk towards #retail-outlet . With each step he took, the Furberus made a squeaking noise, almost like they were providing sound effects for each step. For the most part the android engineer kept his eyes straight ahead to ensure they were not going to run into anyone, but occasionally would look towards Elwyn. "So tell me Elwyn, who is your creator and what was your purpose for being?" Alizati asked the question bluntly, stare cold as ever, silently judging the other, his paranoia was evident in his gaze.

As Alizati headed off towards the retail outlets Elwyn followed along next to him with a spring in her step, finding the little sounds the Furberus was making quite hilarious. As she walked she looked around curiously, taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells of the starbase. “My creator is Nunya Bidniss, and they created me because they wanted to create life! Picture Frankenstein’s Monster but less creepy and fleshy! That’s me! I’m a child of science, a creature of technology!” They said with a grin.
